Bloom Ridge Farm is owned, operated and loved, by me, Amanda Roberts. I am lucky to have a wonderful husband who helps with the bigger projects and heavy lifting, and 4 children who don’t mind getting their hands dirty. They are a big help when they do get out in the fields with me. But the majority of the time Im out in the fields alone. And I LOVE it. I love nature and the simpleness of being outdoors and soaking in all of its beauty. I am excited that I get to grow, nurture and create beauty with each and every one of my blooms. As a family, we balance our love of nature, creativity and hard work to make what was once a dream, a successful flower farm reality. And most of all we love the joy our flowers bring to many faces. Flowers are powerful and uplifting and I am so glad I took that leap of faith and started our little flower farm. And I am grateful for each and everyone of you who supports us in our journey.
About the Farm
Our family is honored to share that our farm has received centennial status. This farm has been in our lineage for over 132 years. Our farm was purchased November 1st, 1889 from the Springer family. Hence the name of our road, Springer Ridge. This not only honors our farm operation today, but also our ancestors who labored through diversity to maintain the family farm. Family farming remains a viable entity in Illinois Agriculture. We are proud to be able to bring this old farm back to life.
We grow each and every stem we sell, here on the farm. From seed to bloom, it’s quite the process. We are excited to bring you fresh, locally grown blooms from the heart of Southern Illinois.
